DiagnosticImagingShirts.com began with the DaVinci X-Ray Tee Shirt. This radiology shirt logo is designed to blend the classic image of Leonardo DaVinci's Vitruvian Man with a superimposed X-Ray of the T-Spine, L-Spine, and Pelvis. The design is a perfect blend of art and science on a long sleeve black tee shirt.
DaVinci's drawing was based on a model of ideal proportions presented by the Roman Architect Vitruvius back in the first century B.C. Vitruvius proposed that the length of a man's outstretched arms is equal to his height. The distance from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin is one eighth of a man's height. The length of the ear is one third of the length of the face, and so on. Vitruvius believed that his designs for temples should be based upon the proportions of man because the human body is the model of perfection and beauty. (for more details refer to thealchemicalegg.com/VitruviusN.html) The DaVinci X-Ray shirt was created by Steve McGowan and Noel Hanauer, members of the class of 2007 West Boca Medical Centers School of Radiologic Technology. The West Boca Medical Center School, located in Boca Raton Florida, provides a two year certificate program in radiology that prepares students to become nationally certified by the State of Florida as a general radiographer upon passing the American Registry of Radiologic Technology exam. The school is certified and accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Clinical training takes place in the hospital setting and accounts for approximately 75% of the total class hours. For more information about the tee shirts, please contact Steve McGowan |
